Brass Compression Fittings
The brass fittings consist of a solid brass main body, solid brass nut(s) and two copper or brass compression rings (olives).
The pipework to be joined is fed through the nut, the olive and the main body and the nut is then screwed tightly onto the main body.
As the nut and main body are screwed together, the copper or brass olive deforms and forms a snug and secure watertight seal.
Various products such as PTFE tape, BOSS white and jet lube can be applied to the threads prior tightening to ensure a more reliable leak tight connection.
PTFE tape, BOSS white and jet lube can all be found in our sundry items section.
