Plumb Spares Direct is an independent family owned online plumbing parts retailer operating from a warehouse based in a sleepy village on the outskirts of Chelmsford
Formed in 2015 primarily to work with Plumbing companies to help them track and trace plumbing parts and manage their plumbers stock spend via an app but we also selldirect to the public and one-man bandplumbers via the website.
The general public who would normally buy their parts from one of the big sheds will often findthat our like for like products are significantly cheaper

As former owners of a Plumbing services company employing 15+ plumbers we learned the hard way that there is much more to saving money on parts spend than just the basic cost of the parts
Our unique proposition is delivered via an app which links every part used by a Plumber to a completed job, making it easy to cross reference and validate in realtime
The app has many other benefits such as comparing plumber spend within the business, working out average cost per job and identifying training needs for example
Our biggest difficulty has been convincing prospective customers to move away from traditional methods of working when they have a million other things to worryabout. Once they come on board andstart to see the benefits morph into increased profit on their bottom line we can’t get rid of them!
